Jess Macc is a professional on both sides of the camera. She graduated from The Academy of Film, Theatre and Television (Sydney) in 2007 and was privately trained as a vocalist under Jennifer Murphy (Head of Musical Theatre, Australian Institute of Music).

Before acting school, Jess studied photography at Ultimo TAFE (2003). During that time she grew deeper in love with 35mm film and darkroom printing − a love that began 4 years prior during high school. She also furthered her study at the Australian Centre for Photography and the California Center for Digital Arts.

Having been on both sides of the camera for many years has given Jess a wealth of knowledge and experience in creating and developing fantastic campaigns. Her zest for life, excellent communication skills, friendliness, and empathetic perspective have given her the ability to make people of all walks of life feel comfortable on set, bringing out the best in them. She has a proven track record of getting the job done right through a God-given creative eye and self-starter attitude.

Jess spent 8 years in California where she discovered her true inspiration through photographing people and taking portraits. She has had the opportunity to work with some incredible personalities, from skateboarding legend Christian Hosoi (VANS) and Olympian Rachael Adams (Team USA Volleyball), to Jason Wahler (MTV's The Hills).

She photographed the PFL (Professional Fighters League) at Long Beach Arena in California, as well as highly reputable companies like Hilton Hotels, CLIF Bars and Toby’s Estate.

Jess has shot talented musicians such as Tuka (Thundamentals) and Kazi Jay (America’s Got Talent), as well as homegrown Aussie actors such as Raechelle Banno (Home & Away). But perhaps her favourite story is that one of her photographs is hanging at the United Nations Headquarters in NYC.

She is also passionate about lending her skills to not-for-profit organisations, particularly those geared toward mental health.

In January 2020, Jess relocated back home to Sydney.
